Lester B. Pearson High School opened its doors in 1976. Though the school is an immense structure occupying almost 2 city blocks, Lester B. Pearson is more than bricks, glass and concrete. The banner which greets visitors at the main entrance underscores the school’s mission of building strong links with the community. Our school has been an active member of the community for 3 decades, and we are committed to contributing to the development of our neighbourhood. |

The philosophy of our school is a major theme in the many murals painted throughout the building. Each mural is the result of a collaborative process involving dozens of students from all levels. With guidance from staff members of our Fine Arts department these students are given the responsibility of conceptualizing and producing the works. |

The main plaza is the beating heart of Lester B. Pearson High School. Built on an open concept plan, the plaza features enormous sky lights which permit sun light to pour down onto the terracotta tiles below. Display cases featuring GMAA banners, photos of recent school events and many of or co-curricular and extra curricular activities occupy the plaza. |

The Library is the brain of Lester B. Pearson High School. Student art work adorns the entrance to the library and continues into the room, wrapping around the walls that surround the books. Recent funding by the MELS, the EMSB and Lester B. Pearson High School have contributed to the impressive collection of literary and media resources placed at the disposal of our students. |
