The Geography program aims to help students understand and interpret human reactions upon territories in constant change. The territories selected give students an opportunity to become familiar with different parts of the world.
Five types of territories representing different forms of territorial organization have been selected:

1. Urban territory:
* Metropolis (Montreal and New York or Cairo or Mexico City or Sydney)
* Cities subject to natural hazards (Manila or Quito or San Francisco) * Heritage (Old Quebec and Athens or Rome or Paris)
2. Regional territory
* Tourist region (Region in Quebec or Canada, and/or African Great Lakes or Savoie or Tahiti or Venice Lagoon or Paris)
* Forest Region (forest region in Quebec or British Columbia or Amazonia )
* Energy-producing region (Alberta or Persian Gulf or Cote Nord or James Bay)
* Industrial region (American and Canadian Great Lakes or an Industrial region in Quebec)
3. Agricultural territory
* Agriculture space-farming (Quebec and Japan or California)
* Agricultural space at risk (Canadian Prairies and Sahel or Bangladesh )
4. Native territory
         (Nunavut or Cree Territory or Naskapi Territory)
5. Protected territory
     (Natural Parks of Canada or Galapagos)
