The arts play a vital role in
preserving and expressing the cultural values of society. In Cycle I
students are involved in activities and studies that will contribute to
the development of their competencies in one of the following areas:
Drama, Music, Visual Arts, and Dance.
By engaging in tasks that
focus on creating, performing and appreciating the various art forms
students will deepen their awareness and their knowledge of the world
of arts and value its contribution. Courses in the four art forms will be continued in Cycle II.
Art 534/434:
The student will develop skills
in painting and drawing. Knowledge of painting is developed through
painting analysis. (8 Credits)
