Student Council plays an important role in the life of a high school. It is a vital organization of students dedicated to energizing school spirit and a consultative body that serves to represent student interests. Becoming a member of student council entails making a major commitment as you will be involved in the planning, cleanup, construction, and participation in all Student Life events. You need to be open to change and most importantly, prepared to take on the position of a role model and leader. Student Council is about personality, creativity, teamwork, and dedication. Expectations of a Student Council member are to:
- Commit to attending scheduled meetings during and after school hours. (You must let us know if you cannot attend prior to the meeting)
- Executive members may not miss more than three scheduled meetings.
- Participate in and promote activities.
- Maintain in good academic and behavioural standing.
Academic and behavioural problems will be reviewed by the administration and student life advisors.
