ROSES

On Feb. 7-9h we will be selling roses in the plaza during junior and senior lunch, for only $4.00 each. (They are being sold at our cost). Buy one for a loved one or just a friend. You must come with the name of the person as well as their first period class on February 14th (Day 6). Student Council



CARNIVAL WEEK

Student Council is having a week of carnival activities leading up to carnival day on February 10th. Join us for cookie eating contest on Tuesday, the heart relay on Thursday, and sumo wrestling on Friday. Student Council



GO GREEN!

Student Council is trying to make LBP a greener place, please use the receptacles in the plaza to recycle soda cans, water bottles or paper, and please use the proper bin to sort your waste. Bring in your old Cells, Digital Cameras, Laptops, Tablets and Ink to be recycled by the main office or in the Library. Student Council



MATCHMAKER

Student council will be distributing matchmaker questionnaires on February 13th and 14th, filling out a questionnaire is free and you do not have to buy your results. Results will be available for $2.00 in a couple of weeks. Matchmaking results contain your most compatible matches, juniors and seniors are matched separately. You also get personalized birthday facts on the back side of each Matchmaker printout. Mr. K.



INTER MURAL SOCCER

Student Council is organizing an annual tournament of senior soccer teams, all seniors’ boys and girls are invited to form mixed level coed teams for some afternoon games of Soccer. Pick up your forms on the student councl room dor and slide your team beneath the door, this is an eight team tournament, 10 players per team, first come first served. There will be an information meeting for captains wishing to field a team on Friday, February 10th at lunch. Student Council



LOLLIPOP FUNDRAISER

Our Lollipop fundraiser will be held on Tuesday at lunch. Please enjoy our lollipops responsible; use the wrapper and tie wrap to reseal your kapow pop to enjoy later and throw out your waste when you are satisfied! Student Council



ATTENTION TO ALL BOCCE LEAGUE PLAYERS

Bocce practice will resume today, Monday, February 6, 2012. Please be sure to wear your Bocce T-shirt, bring your shoes, and to be punctual. Thank you. Mrs. Sementilli



SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE? (ALL LEVELS)

Our third and final school dance of the year is on February 24th, tickets are on sale February 16-18 at lunch. Tickets will not be sold at the door. Do not pass up on the opportunity to dance to our lights and sounds from 7-11. Drinks and snacks will be available for sale. Come out and have fun with your friends, we hope to see you there! Sec. 5’s this will be the last school dance of your high school years.

LBP code of conduct is in effect during the evening; once you enter the dance you cannot leave the school and return. Student Council



CHARITY UPDATE

Since our last update on donations to charity we have been able to raise

From our December Non-Uniform day in addition to the hundreds of canned food items and toys you brought in, we raised 1802.00$.

→ The Montreal Children’s Hospital 180.00
→ Action Faim 360.60

So far our total money raised to help construct a school in Haiti for Free the Children has totaled 1994.00$ we are almost halfway to meeting our goal of 4250$
